Hi, I’m Finn. Let me tell you a story.

The 25¢ Newspaper

When I was a kid, I launched my first publication: a newspaper of extremely local news with yesterday’s weather, typed with my own observations of household happenings and printed on the family printer. Cost: 25 cents a copy. Customers: 2. (My parents.)

It was never about the news. I just wanted to create. And create, I did.

Somewhere along the way, I started noticing the how and why in different printed media: why one advertisement looked better than another, why there is a "right" color and a "wrong" color, how the font choice and text placement mattered. Design stopped being invisible and it soon became my whole world.

That desire to create followed me through high school and into a design degree at RIT, and it never really let up.

Same Itch, Different Decade

Twenty years after college, that itch hasn't gone anywhere. It's shown up in five documentaries (60+ interviews, 200K+ views), a niche blog I founded and grew to 16 writers and 7,000+ followers, a statewide voter education network built with 30+ partner organizations, and more.

Turns out the format doesn't matter much, whether it's a video, blog, or ballot box. If there's a story or a system worth building, I'm in.

Full timeline and experience are on the resume page.

Let’s build something.
